Cory Environmental takes over at Hafod

Cory Environmental Resource Management, part of Cory Environmental, has bought Hafod Quarry and Landfill site in Johnstown, near Wrexham.

The site, which was previously owned by Mersey Waste Holdings, has been in operation since 2006 and has a permit from the Environment Agency to accept a range of non-hazardous waste from local businesses and homes.

Currently, the site is being progressively restored to grassland and woodland and final restoration of the site is expected to be completed ahead of the allocated timescale.

Cory has an excellent track record of high operational standards across all of our facilities which we will continue to implement at Hafod.”
